What We Do
Sundays
- Sunday Gatherings -
Every Sunday, 10:30am

We gather each Sunday morning at 10:30am starting with refreshments. Our time of praise and worship usually gets going by about 11.
Our style is informal/relaxed and our worship time is usually a mix of contemporary praise and worship music with the occasional traditional hymn. As we are a Pentecostal church, you will often experience the gifts of the Holy Spirit operating during our time together. We take communion at least once a month, and our teaching includes both topical and expository preaching. Sunday gatherings are also an opportunity to disciple one another and for friendships to grow, as we practically walk out our faith together as the family of God.

- Babies & Children -

We have a small Kids Church for 4-11s run by volunteers who have been DBS checked. Children usually go through into the back room near the end of our time of worship to enjoy age appropriate and bible themed activities together.

Parents of children under school age are asked to supervise their own children, however we are very family friendly and very happy with the noise and hubbub that little ones bring. There is a huge cupboard (aka Aladdin's Cave) of pre-school toys in the back room, as well as a private room that can be used for breastfeeding, and a baby change in the disabled toilet. Feel free to borrow and use these resources throughout the service and let us know if you need any help.

- Accessibility -

We welcome people with disabilities and/or additional needs, and endeavour to remove any barriers that might prevent people from joining us. Bethesda chapel has wheelchair access to the side, and a disabled toilet which also has full wheelchair access. If you spot anything we can do to make our times together easier and safer for you, please let us know.
Mid-week
- God Conversations -
Alternate Thursdays, 7:30pm
(starts 20th June 2024)

One of the most wonderful gifts of being a follower of Jesus is being able to hear the voice of God personally. As Christians, we have a real and tangible relationship with God, and just like all relationships, communication is the life source of this. We want to make sure we are a church community who hears God. We therefore decided to take a season together to work through a course called God Conversations, by Rev Dr Tania Harris. This biblically solid and practical course is all about learning to listen and hear what God is saying to us. There are 7 sessions which will run bi-weekly between June - Sept with a break during the summer.

- Teens -
Alternate Thursdays, 7:30pm
(starts 18th Jan 2024)

We are delighted to now have a small group of teenagers at Ignite Church. With this in mind, we will be kicking off our very first Youth night on Thurs 18th Jan. We hope to put something on every other week, and to provide a mix of fun social activities as well as discipleship and a chance to ask lots of questions and explore faith in Jesus together. If you are a teen or have a teen and would like to find out more, please get in touch.

- Encounter Evenings -
(Date and time TBA)

It is out of our intimacy with God that we operate in all he has called us to do and be. See a post Sarah wrote here. There's something special and precious about spending time in the presence of God together, and Encounter is a chance to worship and draw near to Him to be refilled and refreshed. We periodically organise Encounter evenings. Keep an eye on our homepage for upcoming dates.
